In Punjab, sweet lassi is a breakfast and sehri staple, served in tall steel glasses so thick it barely pours. Lahore's lassi shops churn full-fat yogurt with sugar and ice using a wooden madhani until it froths, then crown it with a slab of malai. Good, fresh, not-too-sour yogurt is everything here.

Meethi Lassi: questions people ask

Is lassi good for sehri?

Yes. Yogurt is filling and cooling, which is why lassi is a sehri tradition in Punjab. Keep it lightly sweet or have namkeen lassi instead.
